Mulberry House, Essex
Nestled in the rolling Essex countryside sits the enchanting Mulberry House. This was my first time filming here, and I really hope it won’t be my last.
On a week when the clocks went back, the nights drew in and the rain barely stopped, I couldn’t believe our luck pulling into a sun-kissed, 22-acre estate. I always like to arrive early on a wedding day, and I’m so glad I did. After checking in with Jenni to let everyone know I’d arrived, I grabbed my camera and went for a quick stroll around the grounds.
The highlights? Chasing squirrels through the trees, being greeted by the resident alpacas, and even spotting Mulberry House’s very own black swan — something I haven’t seen since I was a kid.
The morning light was perfect. It scattered softly through the autumn leaves and across the lake, giving everything that warm, golden glow that makes this season so special.

Jenni & Rob
Jenni and Rob booked me about a year ago after a lovely recommendation from Mini + Me Photography, and from the moment we met, I knew this would be a special one. They’re an incredibly kind couple who make everyone around them feel instantly at ease.
Every time these two were together, they couldn’t stop smiling. Their laughter came so naturally — the kind that fills a room and gets everyone else smiling too. You could just see how happy they were to be in each other’s company, and that energy spread through the whole day. It set the tone perfectly for what turned out to be such a joyful, love-filled celebration.

A Morning Full of Emotion
You could feel the love in every corner of that room. Everyone was so genuinely happy to be there celebrating these two. Even us suppliers struggled to hold back tears during the father-of-the-bride reveal.
Jenni and Rob mean the absolute world to each other, which became even clearer during their letter readings. It’s always hard to stay quiet behind the camera when emotions are running high — all I wanted to do was put the camera down and give them both a big hug.

Alpacas!
One of the unexpected joys of filming at Mulberry House is the local herd of alpacas that live on the estate. They’re friendly, curious, and always up for a photo. Knowing they’re one of Jenni’s favourite animals, we couldn’t resist getting a few quick shots with them before heading in for the wedding breakfast.

Reggie
It was really important to Jenni and Rob that we made time for some photos with their dog, Reggie — and as a huge dog lover myself, I was more than happy to oblige.
Reggie, full of energy and excitement, was a bit of a handful at first, but we managed to calm him down long enough to capture a few lovely moments in front of the house.
